Go Figure!

So, here's the scoop - I'm entering a quick post from another computer, which does not have my repository of thousands of pictures. Go figure... just hours after I re-join the blogging world, Zachary sneaks up onto the chair and manages to do something to our personal laptop (Len is not exactly sure what, though he is the one who discovered him in the act), rendering it officially "broken"!! Boo hoo! We're going to take it into the "laptop shop" for a check up to see how bad the damage is, but at this point, the poor thing just won't turn on. For just a few seconds, it seems like it's about to kick-start, but then just dies. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it is something that can be fixed... please send good thoughts our way for my beloved laptop! More to come...

In the meantime, I do have this picture that Len sent me from his blackberry to share - - Zachary is cheering me on through our storm door as I shoveled and shoveled and shoveled and shoveled. Thank goodness for Advil! LOL!

2+ feet and still counting...

You'd think the title of this entry was meant to allude to our little man, but in this case, he is definitely not what I'm referring to... instead, I mean the SNOW! That's right... we're in the middle of the "Blizzard of 2010" and are expecting up to 30 inches of snow before all is said and done (not to mention the 5+ foot drifts from all the crazy wind). We're loving being hunkered down and inside at this point, but I am considering venturing out to try and dig out at least our front door (can't open it at the moment). Keep your fingers crossed we don't lose power for an extended period of time (it's already gone out and come back on right away 3 times!). Hope all our mid-atlantic and north east coast friends and family are staying warm and enjoying the winter wonderland... we sure are!

These were taken from inside (of course!)...

We're still here... believe it or not!

That's right... we're still all here and doing very well! I know it's been such a long time since I've posted. Sometimes, life just happens, and you run out of hours in the day to do everything you really want to. Well, I'm going to try and catch up with everyone who follows our amazing life... I have about 12 posts that I started and saved as drafts beginning over 6 months ago. Some are complete and just waiting to be published and some continue to be a work in progress. What I will do is just start posting them a little at a time - and likely out of chronological order (which for those who know me, you know that will be very difficult for me... hee hee). As Zachary gets older, my time is less and less available for things like posting to this blog and more aligned with playing with my amazing little toddler when not busy with work... whether it's pushing cars around the living room floor, swinging plastic golf clubs to hit the ball and exclaim "I did it!", swinging a blow-up baseball bat at the blow-up baseball on the blow-up baseball tee (blow-up is critical for indoor play!), reading books (me to him and him to me), watching Sesame Street (his absolute FAVORITE), or whatever else may strike his fancy in any given moment! He is so much fun these days... everything amazes him, which amazes me! He's so smart (I think, anyway) and I love just watching him take in the word around him. Here are some more recent pictures of our little critter....

Up to no good!

One of Zachary's favorite little tricks is to climb up on the dining chairs. There is one in particular that he will always attempt first - the one that sits in front of the laptop! I think this was the primary motivation that drove him to want to attempt to climb up for the first time, because the prize for achieving the feat was to be able to BANG on the keyboard and laugh hysterically! So now, if DaDa forgets to push in his chair (which is more often than not), it's an open invitation to Zachary to get into mischief by playing with a "toy" that does not belong to him. :) Here is what I walked into the kitchen to find the day before last... so adorable, even when he's up to no good!!
